So was RAPT_10 born. A joint-venture of two retired photographers assembling their, mostly, football archives since 1982, turning them into collections and NFTs. With the support of another photographer 
– Pier Giorgio Giavelli – by all means considered the world’s best football photographer in activity.

RICARDO ALFIERI, born in Argentina 1949.
 

Nicknamed ‘THE 1,000 COVER STORIES PHOTOGRAPHER’, Ricardo has inherited the skills and the photo DNA from his father, also named Ricardo, turning the Alfieri family into a milestone in Argentina sports photography.

Most of his career was spent at the weekly sports magazine El Gráfico, moving on after that to become CONMEBOL’s official photographer for 25 years. He has had the privilege to cover 10 World Cups and 11 Copa America, other than thousands of Copa Libertadores matches.

Ricardo is the author of the pictures series that unveiled the drama at Maracanã stadium 3 September 1989 (El Maracanazo), when Chile’s goalkeeper Roberto Rojas appeared laying on the ground claiming he had been hit by a flare : “The untold scandal: When Chile plotted to eliminate Brazil from the World Cup“.

Alfieri’s family collection on Diego Maradona has such a variety that it can almost be said Ricardo was his private photographer.

PAULO TEIXEIRA, born in DR Congo 1951.
Graduated in photography at Kursverksamheten, Stockholms Universitet 1978.

“I was born on a football field”, Pier is used to say.
As a matter of fact, his father was the concierge at Sassuolo’s football ground. He began his career at Olympia, a sports agency based in Milano, back in 1984.
